Caroline Jones

Founder of Restival

Caroline Jones started her career in live events managing a world famous music venue in Central London during Britpop, then worked backstage at music festivals pandering to stars’ whims.  It was all pretty rock n roll for a while (25 years in fact), until she discovered meditation and her entire life did an about turn.  After watching frustrated executives on the Tube in London try to use their phones 150 feet underground, she realised that there was a problem.  London was addicted to the smart phone.  Her meditation had taught her that it’s an inside job, and she wanted to go on holiday, so she started to dream about a utopia where people could access their creative consciousness whilst having fun and not getting out of their heads.  That’s when her eureka moment occurred - Restival was born, a space for adventurous free spirits to restore and re-set their physical and mental equilibrium in a truly incredible setting with the local tribes. She took her vision from Morocco with the Berber Nomads, to Arizona with the Navajo and has just finished a residency of Rooftop Restivals in Venice, CA.  Winner of Wall Street Journal’s eco-luxe festival of 2017, Caroline has met some amazing characters in this new life called Restival and she's been invited by other tribes to bring Restival to the rest of the world. "Restival is all about respect and reconnecting with nature.  And life…..There’s no work/life balance, there’s only life” says Caroline. She’ll tell the story of the Road to Restival, the Art of Disconnection and how to keep it real in a confusing world.

Do you need a restival?

Laina Caltagirone

Shortly after passing the bar and becoming an attorney, Laina found herself lacking.  She had done everything she was "supposed to do" but something didn't feel right.  She was missing passion, purpose, creativity, fulfilment- and truthfully, happiness.  She realised that following "the safe/smart path" in life was someone else's truth. Not hers.

She started out on a journey of self-discovery and the string of events that played out from that moment on has been nothing but magical.  Over the years, she has done a lot of learning, a lot of un-learning, a lot of reprogramming and a lot of reflection.

The biggest truth she has found is that she truly is the co-creator of her life.  She feels this with every fibre of her being.  She believes in taking happiness into our own hands by living with intention and seeking out the things that light us up.  She believes that life is about balance and it is about taking really amazing care of yourself, elevating the world around you, curating your experiences and energy, supervising your internal world and creating the life YOU want - thats how she found happiness and her intention is to stare this all with you.
